I knew Jamie as my coach the last three years at Park University. I
miss him. I miss going to the field in the spring and playing "butts up" with
him. He loved to kick it as hard as he could because he hardly ever missed. I
remember a time when we were on an away trip in St. Louis. I needed to talk to
him when we arrived and I couldn't find him. When we went to our room all I
could hear was this hysterical laugh. It was so loud you could here it in the
hallway. When we stuck our heads out, we realized it was coming from across the
hall. When we knocked on the door, Scott answered. When we looked in Jamie was
falling off the bed laughing at the MTV show "Jackass". He was laughing so hard
his face was red and he was turning purple. We were only there for 5 minutes
and we hadn't even put our bags down. He must have run up to his room as soon
as we had gotten there to watch this show. He was funny like that. He always
wanted to have fun. I miss his big grin. I am graduating in May and I will
never forget my last year of college soccer. I have complete faith in Scott
Bowen next season. Jamie loved you Scott. His first year he always told us that
his friend was coming and he couldn't wait because he missed you. Jamie loved
life and especially Stacy. (I miss seeing that little hula girl on their car).
We miss you Stacy and hope you are dong well.

Jamie was not only a outstanding coach, but a amazing person and
friend. While playing under Jaime I looked up to and deeply admired him. His
sincere ability to selflessly devote himself to others will never be forgotten
to those he touched. My admiration and respect for Jaime along with my
appreciation for everything he did for me will never cease. Stacey, I wish the
best for you and send my deepest condolences unitl you two meet again. I'm
grateful for my time with Jaime which I'll often reflect upon and miss
dearly.

My interactions with Jamie were brief during the period he served as
coach for the FORCE. Yet, I observed his gentleness as a leader of talented
women athletes, his deep knowledge of soccer, and his ability to inspire and
bring out the best in his players. I remember first meeting Jamie at a health
club, observing his easy-going yet intense basketball play. He will always be an
important legacy of the future successes of the FORCE. We will remember him and
miss his leadership.

A fun pal, great teacher, trustworthy friend, good
listener...everything a parent could dream of in an friend and adult mentor for
their soccer-loving young person. Jamie exemplified everything that's right in
the world, and in soccer...when you're giving selflessly, sharing and growing in
something you love. His quiet friendship, tremendous love of the game,
curiousity to explore the wonderful things in life, and rapport with young kids
made for exceedingly special times which will have life-long resonance. The song
is cut short, but we are so grateful to have had the wonderful time we did
together. It's so important to touch each other with whatever time we have, in
ways that will keep good things happening between
people.

Jamie, we'll miss you! Stacey, our best wishes go out to you. Jamie
was a tremendous person, and I know everyone that knew him thought of him in the
highest regards. His ethics, personality, coaching style, friendship, and
everything else about him will live on with everyone he touched. I'll just
really miss seeing him at poolside at Rams Village, reading his book of the
week!

Jamie was special. I was fortunate to know him and appreciate his
simple love for soccer and his wife. He was honest, caring, funny, and extremely
talented. I'll miss seeing him grow as a coach and I'm glad I was able to share
in his enthusiasm for the game of soccer and his modest outlook on life. He was
truly exceptional and I really feel for Stacey. I will continue to keep his
inspiration for the game touching all who move through the Force program. I will
remember him fondly and I will remember him often.
